Every Early Childhood Educator is a Science Teacher (even if you're eally not into that stuff)

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

If "I teach four-year-olds, I don't have to deal with science" is your motto, I've got news for you. You don't have a classroom full of preschoolers, you have a classroom full of little scientists. The good news is, there are countless ways to incorporate child-led, screen-free science in your early childhood classroom. The other good news is, you're going to love doing it. In this session, we'll talk about how to turn on your science brain and start injecting science and math into everything you do with your students. We'll talk about teaching early learners the scientific method using child-led learning, how to pair books with science and math in a way that kids find irresistible, and how to do it for very, very cheap. This session will include plenty of hands-on exploration time and is geared to be accessible to both educators who already have a love for science and educators who are less-than-enthusiastic about it. Don't worry, we'll get you there!
