Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Project Based Learning (PBL) has repeatedly shown several benefits for students including a better understanding of content, higher engagement, and retention of subject matter. Several Studies have proven the effectiveness of PBL in a variety of areas such as 21st century competencies, motivation, and academic achievement. This includes studies that analyzed the effects in high poverty schools. Additionally, the results include positive outcomes for closing the achievement gap. I will share my experiences utilizing PBL in the elementary classroom. The strategies and tools are useful for all grades. Join me as we explore how PBL works and tools/tips for implementing it within your classroom. This is a working session with time set aside to do planning.
