As any K-5 teacher knows, meeting the varied social-emotional needs in the typical 21st-century elementary classroom is no small feat. This presentation asks participants to consider whether common behavior systems, such as clip charts, are truly creating the best emotional environment for our students. Whether you currently use clip charts or not, you are invited to inquire with us regarding how we can approach behavior as a teachable skill, dialogue with others teachers regarding this approach, and learn about resources that can support your courageous efforts to meet the social-emotional needs of your students.
