This course will be an overview of the curriculum created by Ruby Payne, created to provide an understanding of class differences. We will discuss how to apply those general principals in the classroom to encourage and motivate students. We will explore our own background and experiences with poverty, and learn how to apply that in our classrooms and schools.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and have worked for the Twin Falls School District for 16 years, most recently as the school counselor at the district's alternative high school.
