Several Magic Valley Schools have expressed interest in forming Grief Response Teams. This session will explore resources a school can have in place to respond to the array of student needs from an individual loss of a loved one, to a mass event impacting multiple individuals in a school or community. Because Kids Grieve (formerly Kids Count Too) will lead a discussion of educational impact of grief, school needs, tools for student assessment, online resources designed to support schools and bereaved students, and a menu of programs that can be provided from within the school community or through community outreach.
