You have just been informed that your assignment for next term is to teach a new course. Now what? In this session we will break into small groups consisting of "the" teacher and “students.” Each group will be given a course description and tasked with designing the course. Groups will present their course, and provide a rationale for its design. Course design elements of particular interest include: strategies to engage students, learning outcomes, possible activities, and assessments. This session’s intent is to share our collective teaching wisdom among the community of learners and to explore our conformational bias. How do humans learn...???
