Samuel Perez

West Ada School District
EL Case Manager/Instructor
My parents were very poor migrant workers when they married. Shortly afterward, I was born in a southern Texas border town. We eventually migrated up the Mississippi River and finally settled in Wisconsin where I learned English and graduated from high school.
I attended a small four-year college in North Dakota and earned my B.A. degree and also played college football for three years. It was there I met my wife, Lori. She is a native Idahoan (born in Hailey and grew up in Twin Falls), so we decided to move to the Treasure Valley.
I started my education career as a bus driver, substitute teacher, and high school football coach. Later, I pursued further studies and taught at various public and private schools. I have two Master's of Education degrees and believe there is no greater joy than to inspire students to reach their goals and be confident in their natural and learned abilities. I enjoy flyfishing, camping, reading, various sports, and video games. Hablo muy poco español, pero estoy aprendiendo. :)
